FEMABLUEROOF works directly with FEMA and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). When they need drone images completed for the Operation Blue Roof program, we offer the photo capturing to licensed drone pilots, who earn money by performing the drone-enabled projects using our proprietary software.
FEMABLUEROOF drone pilots are 1099 contractors that have the freedom & flexibility to set their own schedules within the required performance guidelines required. Drone pilots are required to have an active FAA Part 107 UAV Pilot Certificate, driver's license, liability insurance and you must provide your own drone, cell phone, and transportation and lodging, if necessary. You must be proficient in LAANC (AIRMAP OR ALOFT), Airspace Authorizations (FAA DRONE ZONE), and DJI GEO FENCING.
The minimum drone requirement is that it has a 4K camera with GPS. The recommended drones are DJI, AUTEL, SKYDIO, YUNEEC, PARROTT, but any 4K drone that geotags images when shot will work.
We pay our Pilots on a weekly basis for all inspections returned to our clients successfully between Monday and Sunday of the previous week (ending Sunday at midnight). Payments are transferred on Monday morning directly to their bank account directly.
